We're a small, local, woman-owned and operated insect farm based in Raleigh, NC. We're dedicated to producing the highest quality live feed for your beloved pets - for chickens and birds, reptiles, mammals, fish, and more!

We fell in love with rearing insects years ago when we discovered how much our quail and chickens loved eating termites. We'd go into the woods, find a good old log and shake the termites out. We'd watch as the quail and chickens devoured them. It was strangely thrilling! Needless to say, we were hooked on feeding our pets live insects.

Several years later we learned all about the commercial bug industry and how they all spray a disruption hormone on all their insects. The insects we bought from local chains and even online vendors were all doing it. Not only that, but they were also using low-quality feed and substrates.

We care for our insects pretty obsessively.  We never use any hormones, and we feed them organic fruits and veggies.

We sourced our original breeding batch from 18 different sources across 14 states, because we wanted to start out with the most diverse genetic base we could - and we think it shows. Within 3 generations, our insects got fatter, grew stronger, and lived longer than even the best ones we'd received originally. And we think your pets will get a lot more nutrition from our bugs compared to the cheaper big-box and big-internet pet store bugs.
